Thanh noted that the figure includes roughly 91,000 foreigners and nearly 2.2 million were domestic holiday-makers, with tourism revenue reaching over VND1.7 trillion, equivalent to over US$72.2 million.
Furthermore, revenue from accommodation and catering services reached VND4.3 trillion, equal to more than US$184.1 million, while total revenue from tourism services stood at VND25 billion, equivalent to US$1.06 million.
According to the provincial chairman, the province successfully held the opening ceremony of National Tourism Year 2022, thereby greatly contributing to promoting the image of the province and the nation to visitors from both Vietnam and abroad.
Moreover, the locality has also been actively implementing tourism promotional programmes as it welcomes back local and foreign tourists.
The performance of the tourism industry in the province recorded positive results, despite the number of international arrivals not yet recovering compared to pre-COVID levels.
