Top tourism firms honoured at Vietnam Tourism Awards 2019

VOV.VN - The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism held a ceremony in Hanoi on July 15 to present the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2019  to firms that have made significant contributions to the country’s tourism industry across 16 categories.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien, in addition to representatives from a number of relevant ministries and agencies. 

Addressing the ceremony, Nguyen Trung Khanh, General Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, emphasized that this year’s event is being held to honour human resource training units within the tourism sector and communication agencies that have been making active contributions to the country’s tourism industry.

At the event, the Vietnam Tourism Awards have been presented to a number of leading travel firms across 16 categories including the top 10 tour operators of inbound, outbound, and domestic services, the top 10 five-star hotels, the top 10 four-star hotels, the top 5 passenger automobile carriers, the top 10 leading golf courses, and the top five tourism investors, among others.

Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien expressed his confidence that the Vietnam Tourism Awards will give an added impetus to national tourism businesses that will continue their efforts to improve operations, enhance competitiveness, and develop trademarks within the context of increasingly comprehensive international integration.

Overall, the event will contribute to elevating the country’s image as both a friendly and attractive tourist destination whilst also affirming the nation’s standing on the regional and world travel map.
