The ancient town of Hoi An was recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 1999. It is situated on the Hoai River - a tributary of the Thu Bon River, about 30km from Da Nang city. |

Most of the houses were built in the traditional style from the 17th to the 19th centuries, crowded along small streets throughout the town. |
