Sun PhuQuoc Airways opens Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City–Da Nang air routes
VOV.VN - Sun PhuQuoc Airways on February 25 launched new services linking Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Da Nang, expanding travel options between Vietnam’s two largest cities and the country’s tourism hub in the central region.
The airline’s inaugural commercial flight departed from Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi at 6:15 am and arrived in Da Nang after more than an hour. Shortly after, a second flight took off from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City at 10:30 am, carrying passengers to the coastal central city.
According to the carrier, the introduction of these routes enhances scheduling flexibility and service choices for travelers, while further strengthening connectivity among Vietnam’s key economic and tourism hubs.
Beginning February 25, the Hanoi – Da Nang route operates with two daily flights, increasing to four daily flights from March 1. Meanwhile, the Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang service will run two flights per day upon ticket sales launch. The airline also plans to introduce a Da Nang – Phu Quoc route starting March 15.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways’ entry into the Da Nang market is expected to improve connectivity to central Vietnam’s key entertainment and leisure destinations.
Notably, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2026), scheduled to open in late May with the participation of 10 teams, is anticipated to attract large crowds of domestic and international visitors.
As of late February, Sun PhuQuoc Airways operates a fleet of 10 aircraft. The carrier recently signed an agreement to acquire 40 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft, establishing a solid foundation for expanding intercontinental routes in the future.
