Silver Shadow brings foreign visitors to Ha Long Bay

VOV.VN - Cruise ship Silver Shadow docked at Ha Long Bay in the north of Vietnam on February 20, bringing more than 300 foreign travelers to the World Cultural Heritage site.

While staying there on February 20-21, the travelers, mostly from Europe and the United States, are scheduled to make a tour of Ha Long Bay, a world heritage site twice recognized by UNESCO, Ha Long city and Van Don district where they are taking part in a meditation tour.

The travelers are anticipated to call at local people’s houses to inquire into their lives and sample local sweet potatoes.

Such a tour has been designated for cruise ship travelers and highly appreciated by the visitors, according to the local tourism authority.

Representatives of travel companies in Quang Ninh report that luxury tourists often enjoy rustic experience tours to learn about the lives of local people.

During a fact-finding tour of Quang Ninh late last year, representatives of 15 European travel agencies suggested setting up tours exclusively for European tourists to visit, relax and experience the culture in Ha Long, Yen Tu and other destinations of Quang Ninh province.
