Sightseeing tour on hot air balloon launched
VOV.VN - A sightseeing tour on a hot air balloon was launched in the northern locality of Son Tay on June 15 to help visitors savour the majestic landscapes of the local area.
The hot air balloons are due to fly over several popular destinations in the locality, including Son Tay ancient citadel, Duong Lam ancient village, and Ba Vi National Park.
This new tourism product has been jointly launched by the Balloon Airlines and Asean Resort with the aim of stimulating tourism in Hanoi in general, with a specific focus on Son Tay town in particular.
The scheme also offers an opportunity for Son Tay town to promote its tourism potential whilst showcasing its unique cultural characteristics.
The large hot air balloons have been officially imported from developed countries, along with a team of pilots who have been thoroughly trained and certified to meet the strict requirements set by the International Balloon Association.
Le Dai Thang, vice chairman of Son Tay town’s People's Committee, said the unique tourism product is expected to attract more tourists to the locality.
Visitors can choose to experience hot air balloon trips in the form of fixed anchor flights, ranging from 10 to 15 minutes, or free flights, ranging from 45 to 60 minutes, at Asean Resort tourist area and Son Tay town stadium.
