Search volume of Australian travelers for Vietnam increases
VOV.VN - The latest data released by digital travel platform Agoda has revealed that the number of searches made for Vietnamese destinations by Australians between June 6 and June 24 increased 26% compared to the same period last year.
Agoda reports that Australians are eager to escape the southern hemisphere's winter and head to Vietnam to enjoy the tropical climate.
With the flight connectivity expanding between Australia and Vietnam, the travel platform noted an increase made in searches for travel between the two countries. This is in line with the official data recently announced by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and Tourism Australia.
It shares that the most searched destinations for Australians heading to Vietnam from June to August include Ho Chi Minh City, the central city of Da Nang, the capital city of Hanoi, Hoi An Ancient Town in the central province of Quang Nam, and Nha Trang city in the southcentral province of Khanh Hoa.
Meanwhile, Agoda's data also indicates a 36% annual increase in searches for accommodation by Vietnamese travelers to Australia.
This shows that Vietnamese travelers are typically searching for hotels in major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Brisbane.
