Russia’s IrAero Airlines brings first foreign visitors to Khanh Hoa
VOV.VN - Cam Ranh International Airport welcomed the first regular flight conducted by Russia’s IrAero Airlines on the Irkutsk-Khanh Hoa international air route on March 1, with the flight carrying 98 foreign passengers on board.
The Russian carrier will operate a flight per week every Friday, starting from March 1.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Khanh Hoa province had been a favourite tourist destination among Russian travelers. In 2019, the locality received 451,561 Russian arrivals, up 1.94% on-year and accounting for 80% of the number of Russian tourists to the nation.
IrAero Airlines is a Russian airline based at Irkutsk International Airport. The company's fleet includes Airbus A319, Superjet 100, and Bombardier CRJ-200LR aircraft, as well as seven Antonov passenger aircraft, according to the carrier's website.
IrAero Airlines was first established back in 1999. Since then it has become one of the 20 biggest airlines in the world.
