RoK supports first aid for tourists in Hue

The Hue Monuments Conservation Centre received two medical gadgets sponsored by the Republic of Korea (RoK) for emergencies cases involving tourists with heart failure on February 19.

The hand-held, automatic pump is used to support heart function and blood flow of people with weakened hearts. Each machine costs US$2,500.

The RoK’s National Research Foundation and Cheju Halla University in collaboration with Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy will provide training for the centre’s staff on operating the new machines and first aid.

The centre will be given similar equipment based on further research from the RoK.
