Quang Nam poised to welcome back international visitors
VOV.VN - The central province of Quang Nam has initiated plans to welcome the return of foreign visitors as Vietnam moves into the post-novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic period.
The move comes after the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent an official document to the provincial People's Committee detailing the specific actions relating to the pilot reopening of international tourism activities.
The plan will see visitors arrive at Chu Lai airport from the Republic of Korea (RoK) on board international charter flights before staying at Hoiana complex resort and TUI Blue Hotel Nam Hoi An.
Travelers arriving from the RoK are expected to stay for between five and 10 days and must meet all the necessary requirements for the vaccine passport. In addition, they must record negative COVID-19 tests, comply with epidemic prevention regulations, and use isolated services.
Nguyen Phu Khanh, deputy general manager of TUI Blue Hotel Nam Hoi An Resort, said that the company has put forward plans in order to welcome international guests and to deal with scenarios which may arise.
According to details released by the provincial Department of Health, with 8,400 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine delivered, Quang Nam is set to give priority to injecting those who are directly involved in epidemic prevention work in the relevant areas.
Two PCR machines will be installed at the two tourist sites to support COVID-19 testing, while all employees at these sites will get vaccinated.
