Ten tourist attractions recognised in Sa Pa

VOV.VN - Ten of the leading tourist attractions in the northern mountainous resort of Sa Pa, Lao Cai province, have been officially recognised as cultural sites, provincial authorities unveiled the information at a recent meeting.

Making up the list are two rose gardens in Sa Pa, including one in Sa Pa ward and another located in O Quy Ho ward.

Rung Gia, also known as Old Forest, Muong Hoa valley, Silver waterfall, Sin Chai village, Ham Rong mountain, Ta Phin village, and Ma Tra village also feature among the group.

Over recent years these sites have received millions of domestic and foreign tourists, said Vuong Trinh Quoc, chairman of the Sa Pa town administration, adding that all accommodation facilities have been refurbished to cater to the diverse tastes of visitors to the town.

The authorities hope that all local resident will contribute to developing a friendly atmosphere by striving to maintain a clean, beautiful, and friendly town, Quoc added.

The northern province of Lao Cai is one of the leading localities nationwide to have successfully stimulated tourism demand. The number of tourists to Sa Pa resort has increased considerably, indicating positive signs for the local tourism industry.
