Michelin honours 2025 Award-winning restaurants in Vietnam
VOV.VN - The Michelin Guide Vietnam on June 5 held its 2025 award ceremony to honour outstanding culinary establishments in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.

This year, the Michelin Guide announced a total of 181 awarded establishments, including 9 restaurants with one Michelin Star, 63 Bib Gourmand establishments and 109 Michelin Selected eateries recognized for their culinary quality.
Among the newly listed establishments, 10 are from Hanoi, 7 from Ho Chi Minh City and 7 from Da Nang. Notably, one restaurant in Hanoi received the Michelin Green Star, honouring its outstanding commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guides, expressed pride in the growing number of Michelin Star restaurants in Vietnam this year, noting that it reflects the emergence of a new generation of talented young chefs. According to Poullennec, many of these chefs are returning to their culinary roots, using modern techniques to share stories of their homeland and revive flavours associated with their childhood.
He also highlighted the important role of street vendors, family-run eateries, and long-established dining spots in preserving Vietnam’s rich culinary heritage. Poullennec emphasised that the Michelin inspectors continue to find the process of discovering new restaurants in Vietnam just as exciting and inspiring as when they first began. He praised the dedication, creativity, and unwavering commitment to excellence demonstrated by chefs across the country, adding that the team remains eager to uncover even more hidden culinary gems in the years ahead.
The Michelin Guide Vietnam also presented the Young Chef Award to Le Viet Hong from CieL a newly awarded one-star Michelin restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City; the Sommelier Award to Paul Vo from Nephele, a first-time Michelin Selected restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City; and the Service Award to Nha Huynh from Mặn Mòi, a Bib Gourmand winner in Thu Duc City.
