Pioneers in tourism receive recognition from VNAT
VOV.VN - The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism ceremoniously presented awards today (July 8) to honour outstanding pioneers who have been actively involved in the growth and development of the country’s tourism industry.
According to VNAT office chief Vu Quoc Tri, the number of inbound travellers to Vietnam during the first six months of 2017 was higher than in the same period last year, with visitors from China and the Republic of Korea accounting for most of the growth.
The VNAT awards, first held in 1999, are considered the most prestigious annual awards for the tourism industry in Vietnam. The presentation of the awards is held on the occasion of Vietnam Tourism Day (July 9).
