Over 400 stranded tourists return to Hanoi from Da Nang
VOV.VN - A group consisting of more than 400 tourists who had been left stranded in Da Nang as a result of the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic were successfully brought home to Hanoi on August 12.
Ahead of their departure from Da Nang each visitor received a special gift provided by the central city’s Department of Tourism, in addition to a Letter of Thanks from the leader of the City People's Committee.
Truong Thi Hong Hanh, director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, explained that the central city had requested that both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City receive the aircraft in compliance with regulations regarding COVID-19 prevention and control.
The remaining tourists are scheduled to be brought home on two flights over the course of August 13 and August 14.
Furthermore, 625 passengers will also be flown to Ho Chi Minh City on three flights on August 13 and August 14.
Upon their arrival in either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, each individual must follow social distancing guidelines and remain in isolation, in addition to undergoing a healthcare examination in order to curb the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
