Outlook Traveller suggests places to visit in Vietnam for best surfing experience
VOV.VN - Online travel platform Outlook Traveller of India has just revealed the five best places for surfing experiences in Vietnam.
Mui Ne, located in the southeastern region, is often regarded as a premier destination for surfing and water sports due to its shallow waters and sandy beaches. The ideal time for surfing is from November to March.
My Khe beach boasts clear waters and consistent waves, coming in second place. The best time to surf at My Khe is from September to March when the waves typically range from three to six feet. These conditions are ideal for both easy rides and more challenging sessions, according to Outlook Traveller.
Placing in third position is Bai Dai Beach in Nha Trang city, with the best time to visit lasting from November to March. The beach is ideal for beginner surfers who are keen to practice in a relaxed environment as it features soft sand and gentle waves. Numerous surf schools in the area offer lessons and board rentals, making it accessible for anyone looking to get started.
Located approximately 100 kilometres from Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau ranks fourth on the list as it offers consistent, beginner-friendly waves, creating excellent conditions for surfing.
Outlook Traveller also recommended Phan Rang, although the area is better suited for intermediate and advanced surfers, as the waves there can be larger and more powerful than those found in Mui Ne or Nha Trang.
