Noi Bai and Da Nang airports rise in global top 100 rankings
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s Noi Bai and Da Nang International Airports have improved their positions in the 2026 world’s top 100 airports ranking, compiled by UK-based aviation consultancy Skytrax.
Noi Bai rose to 71st place, up eight positions from 2025, while Da Nang climbed nine positions to 75th. The improvements reflect the ongoing enhancement of service quality at these two major airports.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport, despite the launch of Terminal T3, did not make the list.
Skytrax bases its ranking on assessments from millions of international air travellers, evaluating service quality, airport facilities, and operational efficiency.
A representative of Noi Bai International Airport said on March 19 that the improved ranking was linked to recent infrastructure upgrades. Renovations and expansions at check-in areas in both terminals have optimised space, increased operational capacity, and reduced congestion during peak hours.
Technological systems have also been upgraded, including check-in counters, security screening, and baggage handling systems, helping reduce passenger waiting times. The representative noted that the ranking serves as motivation for continued improvements to enhance the overall passenger experience.
Similarly, a representative of Da Nang International Airport stated that the airport would continue to improve service quality and expand international cooperation, aiming to become a key aviation hub in the Asia–Pacific region and contribute to the economic and tourism development of both Da Nang and Vietnam in general.
