New Year welcoming activities to be held in Phong Nha-Ke Bang

VOV.VN - A wide range of activities will be held in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park to welcome in the New Year with the hope of improving the image of Quang Binh to visitors.

The centre piece of the celebrations will come in the form of a New Year’s Eve countdown in Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.

The event will be held for local and foreign visitors on the evening of December 31 to see in 2019 together. 

Some of the events include a culinary program, dragon dance performances, street music, electronic music, and a countdown to welcome in the New Year.

Additionally, tourism associations in coordination with travel companies throughout Quang Binh province will offer discounts of between 10% to 20% on all tourism products and services for international visitors to the locality from December 20, 2018 to January 20, 2019.

Moreover, the province will hold a ceremony to welcome the first foreign tourist of 2019 at Dong Hoi Aiport.

Ho An Phong, Director of Quang Binh Tourism Department,said the countdown will be held this year to meet the demand of visitors, particularly foreign tourists, who are interested in enjoying exciting activities during the New Year.

The celebrations are part of a wider range of activities to promote tourism in Quang Binh to visitors and provide them with a positive experience in Quang Binh during the New Year 2019.
