New services offered at Ha Long Bay

The Ha Long Bay management board is offering a new service that allows individual passengers to book a boat tour of Ha Long Bay. Individual tourists or small groups of tourists can buy boat tickets at the boat station and no longer have to book a package tour in advance with a boat operator.

In addition to the boats that focus on package tours and large groups of tourists, there are about 10 boats that serve 150 individual tourists every day. On holidays, the numbers rise to 17 boats serving 500 passengers.

The new service is applauded by tourists and has improved the business environment in Ha Long Bay, especially during the summer when the number of visitors soars. 

Nguyen Huy Nam, a tourist from Hanoi, said “I brought my family to visit Ha Long Bay. The service is good. Buying a boat ticket is easy. I was assisted by the staff of the Ha Long Bay Management Board. I’ll visit Ha Long Bay again.”

In recent years, Ha Long city has stepped up promotion of the new service on social media, distributed leaflets at the Tuan Chau International Boat Station, and has collected tourists’ opinions and comments.
