Nearly 500 Chinese tourists arrive in Nha Trang on trans-Vietnam train
VOV.VN - A trans-Vietnam train stopped at Nha Trang railway station in Nha Trang city on November 30, bringing 462 Chinese travelers on a tour of the central coastal city of Vietnam.
Representatives of the local Department of Tourism welcomed the guests at the station, presenting flowers and gifts.
This is the first time Nha Trang has welcomed foreign visitors taking a trans-Vietnam tour on charter trains.
During their one-day stay in NHa Trang, the Chinese travelers are scheduled to visit several local popular tourist attractions, including Ponagar Cham temple complex, Nha Trang Hot Springs Center, VinWonder Nha Trang and Nha Trang Bay.
Nha Trang is part of the travellers’ ongoing trans-Vietnam tour that takes them to other tourist attractions across Vietnam on a charter train. After Nha Trang, the group will continue their journey to Hue before heading back to Hanoi.
According to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, this type of travel service allows tourists to experience beautiful routes and scenic landmarks across Vietnam, with stops in major cities such as Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Ho Chi Minh City.
She expressed hopes that international travel agencies would continue to explore and offer travel packages for tourists using this charter train service.
She also proposed that the Vietnam Railway Corporation introduce new services and improve the quality of services on North-South railway routes to better serve both domestic and international travelers.
