More Vietnamese travelers favour trips abroad during national break
VOV.VN - Vietnamese interest in international travel during the upcoming five-day Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May Day)holiday has surged, according to data from digital travel platform Agoda.
Accommodation searches for overseas destinations by Vietnamese users rose from 26% to 46% year-on-year, with regional cities topping the list.
The 10 most searched international destinations include Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei (China), Hong Kong (China), Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Bali, and Osaka.
Lam Vu, Agoda’s Country Director for Vietnam, said the long holiday is motivating more local travelers to explore vibrant cities across Asia. Popular spots like Bangkok, Tokyo, and Seoul remain top choices thanks to their rich culture, cuisine, and entertainment.
To meet rising demand, Agoda is offering access to over five million holiday properties, 130,000 flight routes, and 300,000 activities available through a single booking platform.
