More than 15 million foreign visitors recorded in nine months
VOV.VN - Vietnam welcomed 15.4 million international arrivals over the past nine months, up 21.5% year on year, the National Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance reported on October 6.

Air travel continued to dominate, with 13.1 million passengers, or 85.2% of the total, rising 21.9% from a year earlier. Land arrivals reached 2.1 million (up 19.4%), while sea arrivals totaled 190,600 (up 15.1%).
Tourism revenue during January-September was estimated at VND69.6 trillion, a 20.5% increase from the same period last year. Among localities, Ho Chi Minh City led with a 24.3% rise, followed by Hanoi (21.9%), Quang Ninh (20.2%), Vinh Long (16%), and Da Nang (13.2%).
In September alone, Vietnam received 1.5 million international travelers, down 9.6% from August but up 19.5% year on year. Officials attributed the strong growth to the expansion of visa exemptions and enhanced tourism promotion efforts, which have helped sustain recovery in international arrivals.
