More air routes link Vietnam and Cambodia

The Phnom Penh–headquartered Lanmei Airlines launched direct flights between Phnom Penh and Hanoi and Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh City on December 20.

The new flights, using Airbus A320 aircraft, will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, according to the company.

As the only air link between Phnom Penh and Hanoi, the flights between the two capital cities aim to promote Cambodia’s international trade relations.

The HCM City and Siem Reap route is expected to promote cultural and relations and to better tap tourism in the 10 countries in the Southeast Asian region, especially between Cambodia and Vietnam, a press release from Lanmei Airlines said.

Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville are the carrier’s main bases in Cambodia.
