Luxury cruise ship brings 2,800 tourists to central localities
VOV.VN - The cruise ship Celebrity Solstice carrying nearly 2,800 passengers and crew members on board berthed at Chan May port in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue on February 26.
Upon arrival at the location they were warmly welcomed and presented with special gifts by local authorities and Cham May Port leaders.
During their stay, the visitors are scheduled to take tours of major tourist destinations and sample specialties in Thua Thien-Hue province, Quang Nam province, and Da Nang city, all of which are home to UNESCO-recognised World Heritage sites.
In 2023, Chan May Port received a total of 24 cruise ships, bringing 51,307 international tourists to Thua Thien-Hue and adjacent areas. In the year ahead, the port is expected to welcome 40 cruise ships with nearly 73,097 passengers and more than 31,228 crew members on board.
