Lang Son seeks to fully tap into community-based tourism model

This can be seen through two community-based tourism models known as Quynh Son and Huu Lien which have been put into operation effectively.

These models have brought about a range of practical benefits to the province and have fully tapped into the cultural characteristics of the region whilst also contributing to reducing poverty and improving the overall living standards of local people.

Currently, the Quynh Son community tourism village located in Bac Son district has eight households which have been built homestays to welcome visitors.

The province has also exerted efforts to preserve stilt houses, whilst also restoring and developing traditional craft villages to meet the demands of tourists who wish to explore the unique life of the Tay ethnic minority group.

Annually, the Quynh Son community tourism village receives approximately 10,000 visitors. Cheung Fe Lix, a foreign tourist from Hong Kong, said he was impressed by the local landscapes, friendly people, and exciting activities at the tourism village.

In order to fully tap into the community tourism model, Lang Son has begun investing in eco-tourism, resorts, infrastructure, and the development of brands. The locality has also strengthened regional connectivity whilst seeking to improve the quality of human resources in order to create unique tourism products.

Tran Thi Bich Hanh, director of the Lang Son Tourism Promotion Information Centre, said following the implementation of effective tourism models such as Quynh Son in Bac Son district and Huu Lien in Huu Lung, the province has deployed similar models on a pilot basis in Vu Lang commune, Bac Son district.
