Korea Tourism Night to be held in Hanoi
VOV.VN - A Korea Tourism Night 2024 is scheduled to take place on May 24 at Inter Continental Hanoi Landmark 72 in the Vietnamese capital.
The event is expected to draw the participation of 180 guests, including leaders from Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea (RoK), the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam (KTO) representative office in Vietnam, and representatives from local and Korean tourism enterprises.
The function represents a golden opportunity for local and Korean travel businesses to come together to promote tourist exchanges, thereby further contributing to fostering the friendly relationship and comprehensive co-operation between the two countries.
According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, the RoK remained as the biggest market sending tourists to Vietnam in the first quarter with more than 1.2 million arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 10%.
Vietnam ranks second in the list of the most preferred travel destinations for the RoK after Japan thanks to factors such as convenient flights and cool weather.
Notably, the new visa policy extends visa-free stay from 15 to 45 days for those from 13 countries, as well as permitting people from other 12 countries to enjoy a 14 to 90 day visa exemption.
