According to a plan announced by the provincial People’s Committee on May 14, the festival will take place from July 17 to 19 at April 2 Square in Nha Trang and other venues across the province. Associated activities will run from July 10 to August 10.

The festival is expected to bring together representatives from central ministries and agencies, localities nationwide and Khanh Hoa’s international partners.

Organizers said the program will feature nearly 30 events spanning culture, sports, tourism and the arts. The opening ceremony, scheduled for the evening of July 17, is expected to be one of the festival’s major events.

Provincial authorities said the festival is intended to promote Khanh Hoa’s coastal image and support the province’s summer tourism season in 2026.

The event will also include a wide range of activities involving well-known Vietnamese and international artists, while introducing new tourism offerings aimed at supporting local economic growth.

Held every two years, the Sea Festival is regarded as one of Khanh Hoa’s signature national-scale cultural and tourism events.

In 2025, the festival was replaced by the Sea Cultural and Tourism Festival due to issues related to provincial administrative restructuring.

The first Sea Festival was held in 2003 to mark the 100th anniversary of the name Nha Trang and the recognition of Nha Trang Bay as one of the world’s most beautiful bays.
