Khanh Hoa expects to welcome 40 foreign cruise ships this year
VOV.VN - The south-central province of Khanh Hoa is set to welcome more than 40 foreign cruise ships throughout the year, carrying tens of thousands tourists to the locality.
On January 4, Spectrum of the Seas, Asia's largest luxury cruise ship carrying a total of 4,393 foreign visitors, docked at Nha Trang Port, marking the first vessel of its kind to dock in the southcentral city this year.
During their stay, the foreign guests were taken to several of the city’s most popular tourist attractions, including Institute of Oceanography, Ponagar Cham towers, and Truong Son craft village.
According to information provided by Bui Minh Thang, director of Phuong Thang Tourism Service Trading Company Limited, the company will welcome about 3,000 foreign guests arriving via cruise ship in February, and another 4,500 guests onboard Queen Mary, the world’s largest cruise ship, in April.
Since the beginning of 2023, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 25 cruise ships, bringing with them nearly 46,000 visitors to the locality, as reported by the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism.
