International arrivals in Hanoi rise 23.6% in ten months

VOV.VN - Hanoi welcomed an estimated 6.17 million international visitors in the ten-month period of 2025, marking a 23.6% increase compared with the same period last year, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.

In October alone, the city received 2.27 million visitors, including 695,000 international travelers, up 17.8% from October 2024. The overall growth has fueled a strong rebound in the tourism sector, with total revenue from visitors reaching over VND 108 trillion, a nearly 20% increase year on year.

Average hotel occupancy in the capital reached nearly 60%, reflecting a clear revival in accommodation activity. Hanoi currently has 3,761 lodging establishments with over 71,000 rooms, including 85 rated hotels from one to five stars, enhancing service quality to meet diverse visitor needs. The city also maintains 58 standardized establishments offering dining, shopping, entertainment, and wellness services, further enriching the visitor experience.

Building on these achievements, Hanoi will roll out a series of promotional activities in November 2025, including the Hanoi Autumn Festival, Ao Dai Festival 2025, and initiatives to connect businesses with local attractions. New products, such as the night tour of Soc Temple, agricultural tourism in Bat Trang, and community tourism in Yen Xuan, are being finalized to attract more visitors.

Hanoi targets to welcome 31 million tourists in 2025, including 7.5 million international arrivals, accounting for over 30% of Vietnam’s projected 25 million international visitors, with total revenue expected to hit VND130 trillion.
