Indonesian media outlet hails Vietnam as safe tourist destination

The newspaper revealed that the country recorded 12.6 million foreign visitors last year, securing fourth highest position in the region after Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
According to details provided by Tempo, apart from its famous historical tourism, Vietnam also offers a wide range of natural, cultural, and culinary destinations.
The newswire mentioned the top 10 tourist attractions in the nation, as voted for by Tripadvisor readers, with Hoi An ancient town topping the list of options due to its charming architecture coupled with picturesque streets.
Furthermore, Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the northern province of Quang Ninh, also made the list of 10 attractive tourist destinations in Vietnam.
The newspaper outlined that Ha Long Bay is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty coupled with mesmerising tapestry of thousands of limestone islands rising from emerald waters.
Moreover, other places such as the Cu Chi Tunnels, the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Hue Imperial Citadel in Thua Thien Hue province, Trang An Landscape Complex in the northern province of Ninh Binh, Fansipan Mountain in Lao Cai, the statue of Bodhisattva Guanyin at Linh Ung Pagoda, the Marble Mountains in the central coastal city of Da Nang, and the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, are also among Vietnam’s attractive tourist destinations.
According to a report published by Klook, an e-commerce platform for travel experiences and services, the number of international visitors to Vietnam grew strongly in the first quarter of the year, with Indonesian tourists witnessing a eight-fold rise compared to the same period from last year.
