Indian tourism products attract visitors at Hanoi travel mart
VOV.VN - The Indian Embassy in Vietnam launched a booth at the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM Hanoi 2024) on April 11 to introduce India tourism, including UNESCO-recognized heritage sites in India, as well as Buddhist pilgrimage sites.
Upon addressing the opening event, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya emphasised that the event has helped Vietnamese people to gain greater insights into Indian culture and seize upon opportunities to purchase attractive tours.
Ambassador Arya was also impressed by the robust tourism growth recorded between India and Vietnam, adding that India ranked eighth in terms of the number of tourists coming to Vietnam with about 400,000 people last year.
The diplomat revealed that about 45,000 Vietnamese tourists visited the South Asian nation last year, noting that India will make greater efforts to increase tourism cooperation between the two countries and tighten people-to-people exchange moving forward.
Diverse cultural exchange activities will be held at the Indian booth from April 11 to April 14, including quizzes about India, henna painting, and photo taking.
