Hoi An listed among 13 best places to visit in September

Aussies are currently flocking to Vietnam in droves due to a variety of factors such as cheap airfares and a currency that gives travelers bang for their buck in the region. September is a good time in which to visit Hoi An as it is a mecca for fashionistas keen to have leather goods and clothes made to order, the website wrote. 

According to Australian writer Simone Mitchell, September in Hoi An features warm and tropical weather, with temperatures typically ranging from 24°C to 31°C. This period is the beginning of the rainy season, meaning that while visitors can expect occasional showers, they are usually brief and intermittent, with rain often falling in the late afternoon or during the evening.

The mornings and early afternoons are generally dry and sunny, making it a good time in which to explore the town and surrounding areas.

September is outside of the peak tourist season, which means fewer crowds compared to the busy summer months and holiday periods, the writer noted.

The newswire Escape also recommended that Hoi An is famous for its Lantern Festival, which typically takes place on the 14th day of each lunar month. In September, this festival offers a vibrant display featuring colourful lanterns illuminating the Old Town, creating a magical atmosphere in the process.

Western Australia topped the list, followed by Kyoto in Japan and Fiji. Hoi An ranked fourth in the list.
