Hoi An hosts first-ever international paragliding competition
VOV.VN - The ancient town of Hoi An in Quang Nam province on June 5 launched an international paragliding competition, the first of its kind, as part of the Quang Nam Cultural, Sports and Tourism Days 2025.

The two-day competition has attracted the participation of 31 pilots, including 10 from Thailand, Laos, Australia, Singapore, and New Zealand, alongside 21 pilots representing Vietnamese paragliding clubs.
The pilots are scheduled to take off from Nam Ngan Islet, soar southward over Bay Mau Coconut Forest, then loop over the fertile Cua Dai alluvial land.
The flight path continues along Cua Dai beach to An Bang, passing over the famed Tra Que rice fields, and then heading south toward Hoi An Memory Island Park before returning to Nam Ngan Islet for landing.
A highlight of the event includes a spectacular formation flight by 10 paragliders, proudly displaying the national flag as they glide through the air.
Certificates will be awarded to participating pilots on June evening, coinciding with the opening of the Quang Nam Culture, Sports and Tourism Days 2025.
