Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2023 launched
VOV.VN - The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism on October 31 unveiled the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2023 with the theme of 'Green on every journey' as part of efforts to elevate the image of the city, its various destinations, and people.
Upon addressing the press conference, Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, emphasised that the event will take place from December 4 to December 10 at several locations around the city with a series of cultural, sporting, and tourism activities.
The highlight of the programme will be the sixth Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon slated for December 8 to December 10, with the occasion set to attract 14,000 top domestic and international athletes.
In response to the occasion, the race will include a range of activities as part of efforts to enhance environmental protection whilst reducing plastic waste.
During the course of the week a number of new tourism products will be launched for the first time, such as night tourism and thematic tourism products.
Furthermore, the southern city's tourism industry also launched a contest aimed at designing a tourist check-in model and a symbol of Ho Chi Minh City tourism to seek creative ideas and to ramp up tourism promotion activities for the city.
