Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2022 kicks off
VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2022 officially opened at Bach Dang Wharf Park in District 1 on December 5, featuring a wide range of exciting activities.
There will be a range of diverse events to take place between December 5 and 11 in popular venues, including Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the Central Post Office, the HCM City Theater, and Nguyen Van Binh Book Street, revealed the municipal Department of Tourism.
Among the activities will be performances of traditional musical instruments, Don ca tai tu, a type of amateur singing, acoustic performances, modern dance shows, folk games, and calligraphy arts.
A number of talk shows and forums will also be held during the week in a bid to promote green tourism. Most notably, an exhibition of urban sketch painting by the architect group titled "Urban Sketcher" will be released to the public for the first time.
In addition, the Hozo International Music Festival, the Ho Chi Minh City Hot Air Balloon Festival and the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon will also be held.
In response to the tourism week, travel firms, accommodation facilities, tourist attractions, and restaurants have also launched a series of tours and products at preferential prices.
Phan Thi Thang, deputy head of the municipal government, expressed hope that Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2022 would contribute to reviving the local tourism industry and ushering in further development next year.
