VOV.VN - A series of tourism businesses, food service providers, shopping malls, and entertainment facilities in Ho Chi Minh City will team up together to offer nearly 200,000 vouchers, with a total discount value of up to VND50 billion, in an effort to realise the 2024 HCM City tourism stimulus programme.
This information was released at a press conference held on April 3 in the southern city to unveil the tourism stimulus scheme.
As many as 100 travel units are poised to get involved in the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City tourism stimulus programme, said Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, deputy director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, adding that the number of participating firms have doubled compared to 2019’s figure.
“The highlight of the programme is that the participating businesses will sign a number of memoranda of understanding on tourism cooperation,” she noted.
Furthermore, a number of package tours will be introduced and sold directly to tourists at the upcoming 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, which is due to run from April 4 to 7 and the second river festival scheduled for late May and early June.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism requested that tourism enterprises strive to meet their commitments by improving service quality and expanding tour packages, in order to affirm their reputation and to elevate Ho Chi Minh City as a leading tourism destination in the future.
