Ho Chi Minh City among trending destinations for 2023
VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City has been named among the top 10 trending destinations to visit in 2023, according to New York-based travel site Thrillist, who quote the latest data compiled by travel search engine Kayak.
This comes as the southern city has seen a 769% increase in searches compared to 2021 to rank top in the list.
Kayak said that travelers will be flocking to bucket list destinations across Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand ahead in 2023, with the primary reason being that these destinations have recently fully re-opened to visitors.
The Vietnamese metropolis was recently named among the top 15 most searched destinations by global travelers for the holiday season from December to January, as revealed by Booking.com. The southern city climbed up a total of 2,985 spots to secure 12th place among destinations searched for by global travelers.
Furthermore, it was also named among the top 10 trending destinations on online flight booking search service Google Flights, which provides an insight into where Americans are looking to travel this year and beyond.
Other locations to make the list of trending destinations include Taipei City of Taiwan (China), Auckland of New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), Melbourne of Australia, Bangkok of Thailand, Tokyo of Japan, Sydney of Australia, and Tel Aviv of Israel.
