HK Express launches regular flights to Noi Bai International Airport
VOV.VN - Flight UO550 of HONGKONG EXPRESS AIRWAYS (HK Express) officially opened a regular round-trip international commercial route from Hong Kong (China) to Hanoi via Noi Bai International Airport on the morning of April 28.
Accordingly, the HK Express will operate a direct route from Hong Kong (China) to Hanoi and vice versa with a daily round-trip flight, using an Airbus A320 during a flight time of about two hours.
The launch of the latest air service after opening flights to Da Nang and Nha Trang will serve to link Hanoi to one of the central ports in Southeast Asia and the economic gateway of mainland China, said Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, deputy director of Noi Bai International Airport.
The move will also create fresh opportunities for greater co-operation in tourism, as well as economic and cultural exchanges, between the two sides, Ngan emphasised.
The Hong Kong-Hanoi round-trip route is considered as one of the highlights of the Vietnamese tourism and aviation industry in order to maintain the growth of Chinese tourists and provide them with the opportunity to explore the country’s popular array of street food and ancient architecture imbued with traditional Asian culture.
HK Express is one of Hong Kong (China)'s low-cost airlines and continues to be one of the 10 carriers from Hong Kong and China that launch regular international routes to Vietnam via Noi Bai International Airport.
This represents the third international airline that has opened a new regular route to Hanoi after Starlux Airlines and Xiamen Airlines this year, duly bringing the total number of international and domestic airlines operating at the Noi Bai International Airport up to 53.
According to information given by Noi Bai International Airport, the volume of international air transportation both to and from the airport during the upcoming National Reunification Day holiday on April 30 and May Day on May 1 is expected to reach more than 230 international flights per day with more than 25,000 foreign passengers.
