HCM City's spring flower festival welcomes 700,000 visitors

VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City’s annual spring festival welcomed 700,000 visitors in the last 2 weeks, up 100,000 from last year’s event.

Spectators to the festival themed “Ho Chi Minh City – peace, prosperity, development” were delighted by 3,000 exhibits of flowers, ornamental fish, rock sculptures, and bonsais.

Le Cong Phuong from the organizing board said that artisans spent lots of efforts on their exhibits to compete at the festival. Many of the exhibits highlight Vietnam’s achievements.

At the closing ceremony on February 14, 332 exhibits received prizes. 2 special prizes went to artisan Pham Tan Tai from An Giang province with a yellow apricot blossom tree and artisan Trinh Van Sy from Lam Dong province with an orchid tree.
