Hanoi to host tourism festival in April
VOV.VN - The 2024 Hanoi Tourism Festival is scheduled to take place at Thong Nhat Park in the capital from April 25 to 28, according to the municipal People's Committee.
The event themed “Thang Long – Hanoi, Thu do quyen ru” (Thang Long – Hanoi, a charming capital) aims to celebrate the 70th Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7) and the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day (October 10).
It will also honour Hanoi’s attractive cultural and historical values, step up tourism promotion activities and attract more domestic and foreign tourists to the capital.
This year’s Hanoi Tourism Festival will promote responsible tourism in response to the "National Tourism Year 2024" programme with the ultimate goal of preserving and popularizing the country’s cultural and historical heritage and ensuring sustainable development.
The festival will feature about 150 booths introducing the city’s tourist destinations and heritage, along with tourism and specialties of other cities and provinces. It will also include spaces for the capital city’s craft villages and its various typical dishes.
Within the framework of the festival, dragon dances, art performances, and traditional costume shows will be held.
