The award was announced at the sixth World Culinary Awards ceremony recently held in Italy. Vietnam was also honoured as Asia's Best Culinary Destination 2025, marking its second recognition on the international stage.

According to the Tourism Information Technology Centre under the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), the Saigontourist Group Culinary Culture and Delicacies Festival won two major titles: World's Best Culinary Festival and Asia's Best Culinary Festival.

Capella Hanoi received the World's Best Brunch Venue 2025 title after surpassing strong rivals such as Holy Brunch (Casablanca, Morocco), Saffron Restaurant @ Atlantis The Palm (UAE), and The Ritz Paris (France).

Rina van Staden, Director of World Culinary Awards, said: “Our World Culinary Awards 2025 winners really showcase what it means to keep striving for culinary excellence, innovate, push boundaries and deliver only the best. My congratulations to each of them.”

Vietnam is known for its diverse cuisine imbued with national identity. With traditional dishes such as pho (noodle soup), bun cha (grilled pork with vermicelli), nem ran (fried spring rolls), and banh mi (baguette), Vietnamese cuisine offers a harmonious blend of flavors and colors to food lovers.

Previously, Vietnam was honoured as Asia's Best Culinary Destination 2022, while Hanoi received the titles of Asia's Best Emerging Culinary City Destination and World's Best Emerging Culinary City Destination in 2024.

Launched in 1994, the World Travel Awards system aims to honour outstanding units and brands in the tourism industry. In the 2025 edition, Italy won the title of World's Best Culinary Destination.
