Hanoi-HCM City air route to resume on October 10
VOV.VN - Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan has recently sent a document to the Hanoi People Committee detailing a plan aimed at resuming domestic flights both to and from Hanoi in the near future.
The Ministry of Transport proposed a plan regarding the temporary launching of air routes to and from Hanoi under two options. The first option relates to the operation of two-way flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with a frequency of two flights each week.
The second option is regarding the operation of one-way flights from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, with a frequency of four weekly flights. Moving forward, the plan is scheduled to begin on October 10.
In terms of other provinces, the Ministry has requested that the Hanoi People's Committee develop a specific proposal regarding the possibility of connecting flights to each locality.
Furthermore, the Ministry added that other localities are now ready to operate flights both to and from Hanoi, including Dien Bien, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Kien Giang, Cau Mau, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Providing that the proposal is granted approval, passengers must follow the “5K message”, be fully vaccinated, and have a negative test result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus taken within 72 hours prior to travel.
According to the latest decision made by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CCAV), domestic flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Thanh Hoa, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Phu Quoc, Thua Thien-Hue, and Nghe An will resume on October 10. This is in addition to flights between Thanh Hoa and Khanh Hoa, Buon Ma Thuot, and Phu Quoc restarting on the same day.
