Hanoi among top 10 best destinations for solo travellers

VOV.VN - UK-based daily newspaper The Telegraph has listed the capital city of Hanoi among its top 10 best destinations across the world which offer a great experience to holidaymakers travelling alone.

According to the UK media outlet, Vietnam, an incredibly affordable and wonderfully hospitable destination, has much to offer the solo holidaymakers.

“It’s a progressive, open-minded country and Hanoi, in particular, is on a well-worn tourist trail filled with visitors of all ages, so while you might arrive alone, you will undoubtedly leave with new friends,” said The Telegraph.

It also noted that WiFi is widespread, whilst SIM cards can be bought cheaply if visitors would prefer to make use of the local network.

Earlier, the central city of Da Nang and Hanoi were also named among the best places for solo travellers in Southeast Asia, as compiled by world renowned travel guide Lonely Planet.

Rounding off the list of the top 10 best destinations for solo travellers was Halifax of Nova Scotia, Stockholm of Sweden, Mendoza of Argentina, Oman, the Arctic, the Austrian Alps, Honshu of  Japan, Lisbon of Portugal, and New Zealand.
