Hanoi among most-searched-for places by international tourists
VOV.VN - Hanoi ranks among the most-searched-for destinations by international tourists, according to details given by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT)
The top 10 most-searched places to make the list include Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Quoc in the southern Kien Giang province, Hoi An in the central Quang Nam province, Nha Trang in the south-central Khanh Hoa province, and Da Lat in the central highland province of Lam Dong province. This is along with Hue in the central Thua Thien - Hue province and Phan Thiet in the southern Binh Thuan province.
Data compiled by the travel tracking tool Google Destination Insights indicates that the number of international searches for accommodation establishments in the nation in October continued to increase, rising by 20% compared to September’s figure and being an 11-fold rise compared to March.
Moving forward, the search volume is expected to continue to increase in November with the top 10 most-searched countries for Vietnamese tourism being the United States, Australia, Singapore, India, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the UK, Malaysia, Thailand, and Germany. In line with this, the search volume from the Indian market tends to rise sharply in October.
Popular Vietnamese destinations which are most popular among Indian tourists include Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Da Nang, and Quy Nhon.
With more flights operating to connect major cities between the two countries, India represents a potential market for Vietnam in the near future.
According to information released by the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the capital has developed a range of unique tourism products, including night tourism, eco-tourism, sports tourism, and adventure tourism.
During the past 10 months of the year, the number of international tourists heading to Hanoi was approximately 983,000 arrivals, nearly fulfilling the set target for the year.
