Ha Giang Province plans big boost for water tourism
VOV.VN - The Department of Culture and Sports in northern Ha Giang Province has unveiled a new project aimed at the development of water and aquatic sports as an active tourism component in the region.

While the rest of the country seems to have been moving forward, the Province seems to have largely stood still in terms of development. Though domestic tourism has experienced a slight uptick over recent years, there are for all practical purposes no foreign visitors.
The new project will implement activities to boost marketing and promotion of water related happenings, seek to exchange experiences among entrepreneurs and to improve tourism friendly infrastructure along rivers and waterways.
Some of the major aquatic events the new project will seek to introduce are activities like outdoor camping, fishing, skiing, boating, canoeing, kayaking and parasailing, said Department officials.
