VOV.VN - The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) reported the number of international searches for Vietnamese tourism has stayed high over the past months, mostly coming from the Republic of Korea, India and the United States.

Statistics show that the number of international searches for tourist accommodations in the country was 12 times higher than that of early March. The nation’s most sought-after destinations among international tourists include Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phan Thiet, and Hue.

According to the VNAT, Vietnam welcomed over 2.95 million foreign visitors during the past 11 months, with the Republic of Korea (RoK) topping the list, accounting for 26% of the total arrivals, followed by the United States with 9%.

Most notably, the number of international tourists rose 23.2% in November compared to the previous month.

Elsewhere, the country enjoyed a strong rise in Indian tourists with 27,000 arriving in November, up 31% month on month and more than 50% year on year.

Searches for Vietnamese destinations from the Indian market are also rapidly rising, with the volume in November increasing by 20% compared to last month. The most searched destinations include Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Quy Nhon.

To meet the target of receiving five million foreign visitors this year, the tourism industry will continue to implement a range of tourism promotional events and attend international tourism fairs. In addition to utilising high-class beaches and resorts, the industry will promote a number of segments, including golf tourism, MICE (meeting, incentive, convention, exhibition), as well as wellness and adventure tourism.
