VOV.VN - Travel journalist Antonio Diaz of Free Magazine has revealed a number of interesting locations he discovered in Ho Chi Minh City during his trip around the southern city.

According to Diaz, Saigon represents an ideal place for coffee lovers.

“There are so many cafes and restaurants around, and the Vietnamese there really seem to love the coffee culture, always accompanied by delicious cakes and snacks,” says the reporter.

He shared that visitors can sample some delicious drinks at La Viet Coffee Saigon and Paris Baguette.

Diaz also recommended several popular churches, pagodas, and temples around the city that are worth a visit, such as Cha Tam Church, Tao Dinh Church, the Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral, Ten thousand Buddha Pagoda, and Giac Lam Buddhist temple.

Other interesting places include the War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh City Museum, and Reunification Palace with a nice collection of war machines from the Vietnam War such as  planes, tanks, and motorboats on display outside its main building.

The journalist shared that visitors can purchase a lot of small souvenirs around these places at a decent price.

“It had many interesting items mixing the Vietnamese flavor with Western popular culture characters,” he noted.
