Located in Tuy Hoa, Nghinh Phong Tower, a distinctive architectural landmark and a familiar destination, was presented in a new setting as it served as the venue for the balloon displays.

As the balloons gradually filled with air and rose against the sky and coastal backdrop, they created notable views that drew large numbers of residents and visitors for sightseeing and photography. For many locals, the atmosphere brought a sense of novelty and pride.

Visitors from other provinces said they found the event interesting. Nguyen Dinh, a visitor from Hanoi, said her holiday trip became more memorable as she saw hot air balloons up close for the first time and took photos at Nghinh Phong Tower, describing the experience as impressive and visually striking.

According to the plan, 10 balloons were displayed on the ground and two tethered balloons were operated for visitors during two daily time slots, from 4:00 to 9:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00, from April 28 to May 1. Local relevant units worked together to prepare, ensuring flight safety, security, fire prevention and compliance with technical requirements.

Le Dang Hung, operations manager at Fly Up Vietnam, said the team had prepared carefully to provide a full experience for visitors, as this was the company’s first time in Dak Lak.

Alongside the tuna festival, the balloon displays drew large numbers of visitors to Tuy Hoa’s coastal area, creating a lively holiday atmosphere and helping diversify local tourism products during the peak season.
