Daily Mail hails Long Thanh International Airport as one of world’s biggest
VOV.VN - The UK's Daily Mail newspaper has published an article describing Long Thanh Airport in the southern province of Dong Nai, 40km from downtown Ho Chi Minh City, as one of the biggest in the world.

In its article titled “Inside the £9.5 billion mega airport set to become one of the biggest in the world,” the newspaper said the airport is expected to open in 2026 after years of construction.
Often considered one of the most budget-friendly travel destinations, Daily Mail added, Vietnam has seen its popularity increase in recent years.
It also cited statistics from Market Research Vietnam showing that arrivals in the country reached 10.7 million by mid-year, up 21% from the same period in 2024.
According to the newspaper, the airport will have three terminals and four runways. The main concourse will feature an 82-metre glass roof shaped like a lotus flower.
Covering 5,000 hectares in Long Thanh, the new airport is expected to replace the current Tan Son Nhat International Airport, with international flights to be moved there. Daily Mail noted that Tan Son Nhat could then handle only domestic and short-haul routes.
The hub could eventually welcome up to 100 million passengers a year, about 25 million in the first phase, thereby making it one of the largest airports in the world, rivaling those in Dubai and Dallas.
