Da Nang welcomes over 30,000 visitors throughout festive period
VOV.VN - The central coastal city of Da Nang welcomed more than 30,000 visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday (Tet) between February 10 - 16, with the majority of guests made up of local residents and domestic visitors, according to the City Department of Tourism.
This year has seen few tourists book tours through travel agencies, with the majority of travelers choosing instead to design and book tours independently.
During this year’s festive period, the most popular destinations in Da Nang proved to be the spring flower road along the Han river, Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountains) scenic spot, Sun World Danang Wonder entertainment area, Son Tra peninsula, and the various beaches throughout Da Nang.
To prevent the potential spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, local authorities decided to cancel a firework display planned for lunar New Year's Eve and not hold events and festivals that may attract large crowds.
Due to the threat of COVID-19, travel firms, local tourist sites, and lodging establishments in the city are now required to implement thorough epidemic prevention measures.
