Da Nang offers free COVID-19 tests to RoK tourists returning home
VOV.VN - The Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) has been permitted to provide Korean tourists with free rapid tests for SARS-CoV-2 antigens when they return home between May 28 and June 30, according to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center.
The programme is to enable travelers from the Republic of Korea (RoK) who have visited the central coastal city of Da Nang to meet the RoK’s entry requirements as soon as they return home.
Under the RoK’s entry regulations, all passengers are required to submit a negative PCR test result within 48 hours prior to departure or a rapid test for SARS-CoV-2 antigen within 24 hours. In addition, passengers must continue conducting the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests once in the RoK for three days following entry, starting from June 1.
Meanwhile, international tourists leaving the International Passenger Terminal 2 in Da Nang will also receive free rapid tests for SARS-CoV-2 antigen if needed.
According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, the central city has focused on restoring key tourism markets, including the RoK and Japan, as well as promoting tourism activities to the ASEAN and Indian markets moving into the post-COVID period.
The implementation of rapid tests for SARS-CoV-2 antigens can be considered as one of the city’s timely actions to attract greater number of Korean tourists to Da Nang moving forward.
